Teacher Story is a free web game where you play a teacher. Your goal is to get your students to improve their grades, through a well thought-out tactical RPG game.
Original gameplay
Teacher Story plays like a tactical, turn-based RPG. Each class that you give will be broken down into a dozen turns where you can use an action each time. Your goal is to teach your students to increase their grades without too much damage to your self-control bar (which decreases when students are chatting, for example).
A very successful atmosphere
Teacher Story manages to seduce the player immediately with its great graphics - they're a real feast for the eyes. Even if the music is horribly repetitive, the atmosphere of the game is incredibly wel-rendered, with excellent dialog and an abundance of small, quirky details.
Our verdict: A fun game but a frustrating model
Teacher Story has countless qualities: the game is beautiful and it has a unique and original gameplay. We'd love to spend hours playing it but the game system forces us to wait hours (sometimes up to seven!) between each game. Although of course you can choose to pay and play right away, it's still very disappointing feature and we hope they find another way of monetizing Teacher Story in the future.
